Founded in 1987, Woodbase Joiners quickly earned a reputation for blending high-quality natural materials with innovative design, creating joinery products of exceptional craftsmanship that continues to stand the test of time. Our company was established by Richard Blackman and Simon Bartlett, united by their shared passion for fine craftsmanship. Together, they brought expert workmanship and a commitment to customer care that defined the business from the very beginning. Richard and Simon’s love for their craft led them to pass down their traditional skills through apprenticeships and continuous staff development, which earned them the Investors in People standard in 2005.

With over 150 years of combined experience, we take pride in offering expert joinery services, specialising in both traditional and contemporary designs. Our highly skilled, well-established workforce is committed to delivering superior results for every project, from bespoke shopfitting to intricate woodwork. We combine the finest materials with advanced technology, such as CAD software, to ensure precision in every design. We Promise to Only Use Quality Materials We provide bespoke joinery services using a wide range of premium timbers, including Oak, Iroko, Meranti, Sapele, Frake Noir and many other exotic timbers. We pride ourselves on the long-term performance of our products, ensuring every piece is crafted to last. We Promise to Implement Sustainable Solutions to Reduce Our Impact on the Environment We are committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. As full members of the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) and fully audited FSC members, we adhere to all industry regulations. In addition to this, we ensure our materials are responsibly sourced from sustainable timber stocks with proven chains of custody. Whenever possible, we use FSC-approved timber, and our timber is also PEFC-certified, ensuring the highest standards of sustainability. In our workshop, we minimise waste by recycling everything possible, including wood dust and shavings. These are transformed into eco-friendly briquettes, which are kiln-dried and sold to customers as a sustainable heating solution. Additionally, we make every effort to reduce packaging and its environmental impact.
